PFW: Dries Van Noten SS 2011

Dries Van Noten took to 'A handsome woman' for his muse for SS 2011 - One he sees as strong, dignified and casually glamorous. The collection boasts of a faded and two tone effect inspired by Belgium artist Jef Verheyen.

It started off with a man's classic shirt and just like it travelled back in time throughout the 40's, 70s and 90's. The palette includes shades of pink, powder blue, yellow and neutrals.
There is an array of oversized tuxedos, wide trouser pants, floral motif kimono style dresses and tops made of fabulous silks. Sequin's do make their way throughout the line which take the clothing from a day-to-night outfit.

Spring 2011 RTW: Fendi

One of the world's most famous and influential designers - Karl Lagerfield has delicately provided Fendi with their Spring 2011 collection. This collection is not skin tight but gorgeous, flowy and lady-like. Channelling a 70's theme we see a gorgeous palette of Peach, berry, teal, powder blue and venetian red with loose lantern sleeves, soft tops, cinched waistlines, and loose cropped trousers, just to name a few.

Tops and dresses accentuate the collar bone with colourful leather belts and geometric and floral prints are prominent throughout the collection.

No doubt this line is fresh and feminine.
