I have been seeing this trend on quite a number of celebrities. From Alexa Chung to Jessica Biel to the beautiful Gisele Bundchen (Left). It's called the balayage aka free hand painting. Basically your hairdresser/colourist will place hair dye to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair without using a 'special system', its all done by free hand. The subtle highlights give Gisele here the 'It girl' appeal while the graduated colour make it so easy to look after. I wonder if my hairdresser will get this right on me?!
