The Perfect find

As I walked into Prada with one of my girlfriends the other day, little did I know I would come out with the Prada Saffiano Lux tote. Initially I was on the hunt for these particular black Prada shoes that I saw on the online store but of course there was none left in my size =( I was quite heartbroken as I was set on buying these shoes. I had another look at the other shoes but nothing was tickling my fancy and like a spotlight on this particular bag I ran straight for it (literally!) I wore it over my arm whilst wearing my J Brand jeans, sass & bide top, Winter Kate Cardy and Tory Burch ballet flats in front of the mirror. I showed my girlfriend who immediately fell in love with it also, so I figured, 'why not I deserve it' and it's my birthday in a couple of days and so the rest is history!


In my opinion the Saffiano Lux tote in Nero a.k.a black is one of my best buys yet - classic, simple, elegant and best yet, will never be outdated. Fixed with its straight and clean edges this bag is another option to the Hermes' Birken who I for one cannot afford such a bag! Made out of calfskin leather I can smell the leather on this bag from like 3 metres away!

April 20, save the date as that's when Sydney will open its doors to the world renowned clothing store, Zara. I officially cannot wait.

Kids Choice Awards 2011

The Nickelodeon's 24th Annual Kids' choice awards were held in Los Angeles, California on Saturday night (April 2). You could tell Spring had arrived with all the sorbet, pastel, floral and chic embellishments on all of the stars. Here are some looks on the Orange carpet.  

The Kardashian/Jenner sisters went for a nude/pastel theme with the exception of Kourtney Kardashian who opted for a splash of bright colour in her maxi dress. Kim, Kylie and Kendall dressed from the knees up matched up with nude shoes which I love! See how nude shoes automatically give you the illusion that your much more taller! Great for us short people! Kylie (Second from left) rocks this outfit from one of our aussie designers Camilla and Marc. 

Miley Cyrus rocked the orange carpet in a strapless silhouette Dolce & Gabbana floral print gown teamed with long boho waves and sliver accessories just to keep it on the down low. Hit or miss?

Winning favourite TV actress, I am honestly loving this look on Selena Gomez. Looking very grown up, she worked this summer shirt and short ensemble from Christian Cota's S/S 2011 collection, paired up with statement heels by Camilla Skovgaard, I love the pop of colour!

Ooo la la, Heidi Klum steps out in a mini embellished black dress by Gucci teamed up with an awesome pair of Jimmy Choo patent wedges. Super Chic and super classy!

a change of name

Well I knew for a long time that I wasn't going to stick with my blogger name/url for too long and today was the day for the change. I decided to call my blog "A fashion enthusiast" because it best describes me as a person dedicated to fashion. My love and appreciation for fashion have grown over the years which have made me now a fashion enthusiast (hence the name!). The name 'the guide to fashionologie' wan't doing much justice for me and was quite bland, so I'm still here just with a url name change. Hope you didn't get lost finding my blog!
